PROBLEMS READING OR WRITING IN THE HINDI SCRIPT

Are you getting junk characters like    ÔÆ֢ؿ...?

Follow instructions below:

1. Go to Control panel>regional and lang. options>click on lang. tab > check box for 'install files for complex scripts...>apply

2. If using IE > view>encoding> more > unicode (UTF-8)

If using Mozilla FireFox>view> character encoding > unicode (UTF-8)

now you can read Hindi.

Still getting junk characters like    ÔÆ֢ؿ...?

Download mangal font    DOWNLOAD

install > copy mangal.ttf and paste it in c:>windows>fonts

for Firefox : tools > options >Content> fonts& colors > advanced > fonts for > select devanagari

Serif         : select 'mangal'

sans serif   : select 'mangal'

monospace: select 'Mangal'

check the box : 'allow the pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above'

then default character Encoding :select 'Unicode(UTF-8)'

then OK > OK

for Internet Explorer : go to tools> internet options > fonts > language script- choose >'devanagari'

then in 'web page font' >select 'Mangal'

then OK > OK
